Cara started here at Cedar in September 2019 as a veterinary technician. Cara is from Southeast TX. She attended Texan A&M where she obtained her BS in animal science. She worked her way up from being a kennel attendant to becoming one of our very skilled veterinary technicians! As a veterinary technician Cara assists Dr. Dudley with surgical procedures, takes radiographs, monitors anesthesia, draws blood, and provides patient education for our clients. One of her favorite parts of being here is helping guide clients to make informed decisions regarding their pet’s healthcare. She enjoys hiking, K-pop and spending time with her kitties Tigger, Merlin and Zeref as well her dog Agust D.
Lisa is one of our technician assistants, she started here at Cedar in May 2020. As a technician assistant Lisa assists with examinations, providing Dr. Dudley with a good patient history, radiographs, blood draws, preparing medications, providing safe handling of patients, client education, as well as keeping our hospitals clean and organized. Lisa was born and raised in New Hampshire. Growing up Lisa has always had a strong love for animals, and always knew she would end up working with animals. As a child she had cats, chickens, hamsters and even some reptiles! When she was little she would always say I’m going to be a veterinarian!
After high school she took some time off and went to Bali, Indonesia to study the art of yoga. When she came back to the states she still had the urge to work with animals, so she signed up at Penn Foster and started working on her degree to become a Veterinarian Technician! If Lisa isn’t at work you can find her either in the mountains hiking or snowboarding or at the beach on her paddle board.
Caitlyn is one of our technician assistants. She grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire and her connection to animals started when she was young through interactions with relatives and neighbors’ pets. Despite never having an animal of her own, throughout her childhood she had her mind set on veterinary medicine and yearned for exposures with animals. Caitlyn pursued pre-vet at the University of New Hampshire where she earned a BS in Biomedical Sciences: Medical and Veterinary Sciences in 2019. The summer prior to starting at UNH, Caitlyn began shadowing Dr. Dudley to gain more veterinary experience and during each break of undergrad she was drawn back. Caitlyn has found working in the surgical environment to be extremely rewarding. Caitlyn says “being a member of surgical team where everyone is working together to achieve the best outcome for the patient is a feeling like no other”. Caitlyn is fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful team while learning from Dr. Dudley! Caitlyn values the opportunity to work with the Cedar Surgical team and grow as a person and future veterinarian. She is currently attending the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine as part of the Class of 2023 and hopes to pursue a career in small animal surgery with two future beagles!
